Hosted by Kunst is Cool! From now until February 18, embark on a journey through the undead-infested skate culture of Almere, where the synergy of local creators, visionary artists, and fearless zombie slayers unfolds. The grand opening, set for Friday, January 12, at 7:00 PM, promises an electrifying experience.

This exhibition is a fusion of gritty skate scenes, vibrant graffiti, the laid-back vibes of surf culture, and the spine-chilling allure of zombie horror flicks. Immerse yourself in the raw energy of Almere’s skate culture, captured in a captivating photo series by the talented skater-photographer Guyon Kanders. His lens, in collaboration with District 13, has frozen moments that tell a tale of survival and rebellion.

Beyond the visual feast, marvel at an array of skateboard designs that transcend conventional boundaries. Each deck tells a story, blending urban artistry with the adrenaline-pumping essence of the skate scene. The expo is not merely a static display but an interactive journey, inviting you to dive deep into the culture that births unique creations.

The excitement doesn’t end there. Engage in an extensive randprogramma (side program) featuring workshops that channel the DIY spirit of skate culture, film screenings capturing the essence of rebellious freedom, and much more. This isn’t just an art exhibition; it’s an immersive experience that resonates with the spirit of the streets.

Kunst is Cool’s expo space, nestled at Citadel 22 with a commanding view of Belfortplein in Almere Centrum, sets the stage for this cultural collision. The free admission, made possible by the generous support of the Almere municipality, UMB Group, VSB Fund, and the Anke & Foktje Take Over Foundation, opens the doors for everyone to witness this unique convergence of art, rebellion, and the undead.

Join the ranks of passionate participants and partners, including Chaeli Ashlyn, David van Vliet, Guyon Kanders, and many others who contribute to the immersive tapestry of this exhibition. Stay connected with Kunst is Cool’s vibrant community by following updates on Instagram, Facebook, or visiting www.kunstisleukalmere.nl. This isn’t just about art; it’s a celebration of a culture that thrives on the edge, where skate, graffiti, surf, and the horror of the undead converge into a symphony of creativity and rebellion.
